COLORADO

John Singer

John Singer, SAG Colorado Branch President

I have been President of the Colorado Branch of the Screen Actors Guild for six years and a member of the branch council for as long as I can remember. Over the years I have served on many local and national committees including the Legislative Committee, the Honors and Tributes Committee, and the Right To Work Task Force.

I started life as a corporate pilot and accidentally got elected to the Colorado State Legislature, which led to me hosting a local television show. When “Perry Mason” moved to town I jumped right in. I also worked on the “Father Dowling Mysteries,” “Diagnosis Murder” and many other shows, films and commercials. I remember when all my friends cheered for the bad-guy when I was murdered on “Unsolved Mysteries” some years ago.

I have been actively involved in lobbying the legislature and was an active participant in the defeat of Right-To-Work in Colorado – several times. I am currently working with legislators to improve Colorado’s film incentives.
